Installation
Before installing a door opener, make sure the door opens and shuts with ease and without any binding.
A portion of the jamb and trim must be removed in order to install the electric strike. Chisels and a RotoZip can be very helpful here.
The wiring around the door can be flush mounted, installed behind the trim, or in some cases, installed in the wall.
Wiring Diagram
Operating Door with IR
The Response 3000 receives an Infrared command wirelessly from REACH, then communicates to the door motor through a cable.
This cable has two wire leads that will connect to the blue and white terminals inside of the door motor. They can be attached either way because there is no polarity.
This package will release and open a locked (or unlocked) door, pause for entrance or exit, close automatically, and then return the door to its locked position. If you would like to extend the time the door is open, you can do so by activating the door button again. The door will stay open as long as you like. To close the door, simply activate the door button once again.
Operating Door with Insteon I/O Linc
If the Door Opener was purchased with the Insteon option, an Insteon I/O Linc module, and a Lift Master hand held remote with wired jack will be included.
This I/O Linc Module is already set to X10 code A3 On. It is also set for Momentary Duration. The IO Linc is not a dual band device and must have the X10 Transceiver Module (from the X10 kit) plugged in and set to the correct House Code in order to receive communication from the ECU.

Operating Door with X-10
If the Door Opener was purchased with the X-10 option, an X-10 Universal module, and a Lift Master hand held remote with wired jack will be included.
The X-10 Universal module is not a dual band device and must have the X10 Transceiver Module (from the X10 kit) plugged in and set to the correct House Code in order to receive communication from the ECU.
